Over the years I have let bad relationships, one-sided friendships, hostile work environments, and all kinds of other negative situations put me in a black cloud. This internally effected my self-confidence or lack thereof.
Unfortunately I know that plenty of you suffer or have suffered through things exactly like this. I found myself seeking confirmation from other individuals around me.
I had never embraced something I truly desired without a strong sense of fear of failure and judgment. Well no more!! These 3 simple but powerful quotes helped boost my self-confidence and opened my eyes to my true potential.
“The only place where your dream becomes impossible is in your own thinking.” – Robert Schuller
Realizing my strength led me to truly embrace that I can achieve whatever I set my mind too. This quote speaks the truth on so many levels. Don’t take your dreams for granted.
No matter how anyone else may view your dreams and aspirations, keep striving to reach them. You are the only obstacle in your way.
Visualize your achievements and believe in yourself, this will take you further than you can ever imagine.
“Ask and you shall receive……”
The journey begins with you and what you are willing to do to grow. Self-confidence does originate from within but in order to see it grow you may have to ask for help. That goes for achieving your dreams as well.
I know we would like to believe that we can do everything on our own, but we can’t. Personally I turn to God for guidance and answers. Whatever I need he will provide, as long as I’m willing to ask.
I ask him for strength, clarity, self-confidence, and protection from negative thoughts and actions.
There is nothing wrong with confiding in a close friend or family member, making them aware of your current struggles. They may have the perfect words to comfort and boost your spirits.

“Go to the edge of the cliff and jump off. Build your wings on the way down.”-Ray Bradbury
This quote is one of my personal favorites. If you don’t possess enough confidence in yourself to go all in on something you believe, you will never be able to see what you can become.
It may seem scary (terrifying even) at first to make a big leap by going after your dreams, but that feeling is short lived.
It’s like a rollercoaster, that slow methodical climb to the top of the first hill is meant to build anxiety and tension. Once the decent starts it only lasts a few seconds, and then you are screaming in excitement for the rest of the ride. Loving every second.
Stay focused on growing your self-confidence because it will get you to the edge of the cliff. Mix that in with determination, strength, and the ability to ask for what you need; now you’re jumping.
Enjoy that air of achievement flowing through your wings on the way down.
